  3. My daughter (age 7) and I simply love bonding while doing art. This would be such an amazing opportunity for us both to spend time together and get creative.   4. It helps clear my head and keep me creative. I like that making art can be a small thing that takes a couple of minutes or a big thing that takes a long time. When I do not make art I feel as though something is missing. It is as much a part of my mental health as going for a walk is, going to the gym or doing something else relaxing.

  27. Hi Mou, I first seen you when you started teaching on Creative Bug. So I was thrilled to see that Tam had chosen you as one of the Teachers for Life Book 2019. Enjoy it! I liked your interview with Tam for the summit as well and the quote you made! Love it!! Gonna use that often. Anyway the reason I make art is to retain my wellbeing. I discovered the benefits of art when I was off work for 2 years with severe anxiety, severe sleep disorder and deep depression. It literally saved my life. It became the lifeline I held on to everyday to keep my head above water. So now I can say I need to make art as much as I need to eat everyday or breathe. Thanks for asking! Take care.

      I loved watching you with Tam. You are very inspiring. I make Art because I cannot breath without art. I began painting at around age 3, and I have not stopped! I am an educator and incorporate it into every subject area with my 4th Graders. It is like having to have water and food. I cannot live without ART!

  30. Hi Mou, thank you for the mixed media tag book lesson on the summit, I would never have thought to use tags in my journals, such a clever idea. I haven’t been making art for very long, but it is great therapy and food for the soul. If I won a place on Lifebook 2019, it would be fabulous.

  34. I would love to win a spot in Lifebook 2019. I am currently on sabbatical from my job as an elementary school art teacher. My intention was to concentrate on my own art however I am floundering. Lifebook may just be enough structure to keep me focused. My excuse used to be that I didn’t have enough time, now I have the time but continue to sabotage myself. Thanks so much for the chance.
