Welcome to the 5th and final day of my Blog Series – Christmas Inspiration! And today’s project is a little light vignette. Of all the projects I posted this week, this one is my FAVORITE! So, I saved it for the last day and also made a video on i-movie to show you how fun this is. Play the video to see for yourself!
I’m listing the supplies I used. Feel free to choose from your stash. I want to give you some starting points and not directions, so you can explore freely. If you do create some projects along with me, please use the hashtag #mousaha and tag me on Instagram @mou.saha.studio and on Facebook @MouSahaStudio.
CAUTION: Do not use real open flame candles with these paper tree light to avoid fire hazards! I used flameless smokeless LED Tea Light Candles for safety and still would keep an eye on the display when it’s turned on.

Today’s project is a card. Sometimes you can enhance a project with left-overs (such as die-cut negatives) from other projects.

As we go into the Thanksgiving weekend here in the States, I am thinking of all the things I am grateful for. And I am grateful for you all – those who befriended and followed me on Instagram and Facebook. Thank you SO MUCH for giving me hearts when I shared my art online, for chatting with me when I posted personal thoughts and stories, for taking my classes, and for giving me feedback and reviews where I needed them the most. You have made me feel that what I do has some meaning beyond my own heart and has value, no matter how small, in the world.
And I wanted to say thank you in a personal way and to me that meant sharing a few pieces of art that I created just for myself and the originals hang framed around my studio and home. So, I have made a VERY LIMITED QUANTITY of archival prints of my original artwork and added them to my shop.
I’m also offering 15% discount on everything in my shop including art prints, art magnets, coloring books and image collections from November 22-25, 2018. No matter how many art prints you choose, you’ll only pay $5.00 in shipping (US Domestic) or $12.00 (International Flat Rate) as long as everything is shipped to the same address.

Recently I worked on a painting inspired by Tamara Laporte’s Life Book 2016 introductory lesson. I spent a week or so thinking about the painting even before I began. Obviously, I followed Tam’s visual style here but the assignment required a bit of thinking to work on the parts that would be unique to each person taking that class.
The painting is only 8×5.5 inches on white card stock- it’s basically a page torn out of my everyday sketchbook. I pulled out my acrylic paints to work on paper after an eternity. I spent some 10 hours on this painting. I painted this with my youngest in mind but the message is one that I could use too.
Sometimes looking at life and hope from another artist’s point of view can be quite interesting. I love how it turned out particularly because there are so many symbols in there that have personal spiritual significance for me. I enjoyed every moment I spent painting it.
Tam is offering many more of her lovely lessons in Life Book 2019, a self-paced online workshop throughout the year along with several other wonderful teachers. Lifebook 2019 will launch on 1/1/19. Registration has already opened.
