Did you know that I wanted to make this mixed media shadowbox last Christmas. But this Katelyn Lizardi Sizzix die set was in such high demand that I couldn’t get it in my hands until September this year! The beauty is that this die-set let’s you make two different shadowbox designs which you can then collapse and flatten and send as a card in an A9 envelope. It will pop right back up to become a shadowbox when you take it out of the envelope.
Katelyn has a video that explains how-to if you need any guidance. Something like this would look pretty with holiday-themed patterned papers, plain cardstock as well as in a more mixed media style as I prefer.
The shadow box is about 1.5 inches deep which means you can add several layers inside with elements that are also included in the die-set. I had oodles of fun with this and it took me a couple of hours to complete mainly because I had to wait for the paints to dry.
