Tide Pool Mandalas

A bit much?

Well, this was all done with Jia’s art supplies (she’s three) while watching the FIFA finals… that’s over 90 minutes of doodling!!! So, no subtle colors in these tide pools or control on the doodling because I was too busy having fun… talk about letting loose.

Class by Faith Evans Sills from 21 Secrets Just Add Water. Has been such a great variety of approaches (not just techniques) to water-coloring so far. My class is coming up on July 19th. You too can sign up through this link to access the classes.

Happy Sunday everyone!

And the 21 Secrets Bundle Winner is

It’s summer all year round where I am but I’d love to start incorporating some journaling into my paintings/ doodles/ splashes of colour on pieces of paper! I’ve been feeling quite stifled and unable to express myself and I’d like to be able to do so through my art practice. 🙂

Vanessa, I hope these workshops inspire you as much as they have inspired me 🙂 Congratulations!!!

I am sending your name and email address to the 21 Secrets Admin so they can give you access to your prize. Happy creating 🙂

To everyone else, I wish I had more bundles to give away! I appreciate that you shared your summer creative goals with me. I’ll keep trying to bring you inspiration and encouragement. You can follow my daily posts on Instagram (if you don’t already) @mou.saha.studio

And if you are still keen on taking these classes, you can register here. It has been very inspiring for me as you can see in my journal flip through video and I have taken only one class so far. I believe it can do the same for you!

Wishing you a creative weekend!

Sneak Peek & A Giveaway!

So far, I have been sharing my practice from other lessons at 21 Secrets Summer 2018 Workshop. Today, I want to share sneak peeks from the class I’ll be teaching as part of the Just Add Water Workshop series. There will be lots of watercolor play involved. Class is self-paced, very few supplies needed and the 35 minute lesson is divided into three videos. I had a great time filming the lesson and I think you’ll enjoy it too!

And the best part… I am giving away ONE Summer Studios bundle (includes Just Add Water and The Great Outdoors) to ONE lucky winner!

To enter the giveaway, tell me about your creative plans for the summer in your comment to this post. You have till July 6th to enter. I’ll announce the winner on July 7th right here.

Good luck!

21 Secrets – Exploding with Colors

Intuitive painting is a new thing for me. And I’m painting after such a long time.

These people hardly have any defined features which makes capturing their moods through expressions rather hard. So I chose colors to create a patchwork of emotions which is true for any relationship as far as my understanding of such things go.

This exploration began with a 21 Secrets Just Add Water class for me. You can check the classes out here.

21 Secrets Summer Workshop – Just Add Water

I can’t stop playing with the things I learned in the 21 Secrets Just add Water class so far! I have to say that I’m beginning to explore some materials I played with in a certain way so far and it’s interesting to take it to a different direction and to find it to be more versatile. I have strayed from the original techniques and materials. It’s like learning the alphabet which is the same for everyone speaking a certain language but then writing your own unique story with it.

You can see my first page using the Oil and Water technique here. I see a difference between that first page and this one. I’ll share more pages as I go.

If you want to sign up, You still have a few days left but hurry because registration is about to close!
