For all my Irish friends, a very Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you!

My home surrounded by snow. The yard is under at least 12 inches.
So glad to be back online even if it took weeks…
Here’s one from my sketchbook to celebrate!

Limes, lemons, oranges, copper pennies, zinc nails, light bulbs, wire spools – all laid out on the kitchen counter out of the baby’s reach and I’m not allowed to touch anything till all data are collected and photos taken. Well!

Walked into Michael’s yesterday and saw these beauties! They make silk look real from a distance. Loved the stacks of colors peeking out of the galvanized tin buckets. Reminded me of florist shops.

This is what’s in my purse right now, after cleaning out a bunch of receipts, candy wrappers, shopping lists, a couple of toys, and an expired inhaler. Yeah!

While all the trees outside are bare and the smaller bushes are under the snow, I’m looking for greenery in my houseplants.

Last summer, we were planning to go to India but Jia’s passport didn’t get here on time. We felt this deep urge to use the passport asap and decided to go to the Niagara Falls. I shared photos from our trip on Instagram and got guidance on things to do and to get from my Canadian friends. I mentioned trading a Lincoln for a pretty Canadian $5 bill the morning we left. Later that day someone mentioned that I should get a ‘Loonie’ and a ‘Toonie’. But we had already crossed the borders. Cassandra offered to send them to me and I accepted. Yesterday the shiny and pretty Loonie and Toonie arrived along with Cassandra’s beautiful card and ATC!
Thankful for friends!

On this foggy and snowy February day, I’m basking in the warmth of memories of our summer in Maine where there were lobster shacks like this everywhere!

Oh the weather outside is frightful!
