I make/do art simply because it is fun. Fun for me is learning by doing. Thank you for the offer of a free course where I can have fun learning.
Holding thumbs for a space. Your class looks amazing xxx
I love to make art to work out emotions of the day or of the past, to leave a legacy or an imprint even if just for a short moment. I am just learning about mixed media and the LB Summit has been wonderful! Thank you for sharing this opportunity!
My daughter (age 7) and I simply love bonding while doing art. This would be such an amazing opportunity for us both to spend time together and get creative. Financially we are not able to attend the course this year so in winning a space would be like an early Christmas present. I’m sending much love all the way from South Africa. kind regards xxx
It helps clear my head and keep me creative. I like that making art can be a small thing that takes a couple of minutes or a big thing that takes a long time. When I do not make art I feel as though something is missing. It is as much a part of my mental health as going for a walk is, going to the gym or doing something else relaxing.
Hi Mou,
I am so excited that you will be teaching in the 2019 Life Book. Congratulations. I loved your activity with the tags. So very neat. Thank you for the inspiration. I would love to win because I need this for self care. I have been an Educator for 36 years, and I am ready to give myself more time to make art. Thank you!
Hi Mou. Creating something – anything – is so good for the soul. I love art journaling particularly, as it combines beautiful artwork with heart healing. Thanks for the chance to win.
Making art is so relaxing, therapeutic, and fun! I used to make art when I was younger, but I have been away from it for many years. Just doing Tam’s warm up project reminded me how enjoyable making art is. I want to continue to make art and have it become part of my life on a regular basis. Thank you for this chance to win a spot. I thoroughly enjoyed your interview with Tam!
Hi, I make art because it makes me feel happy, calmer and more at peace. Art is beautiful and we need more of it in the world. Much love and good luck to all entrants! Thank you for this chance to possibly win.
Counting the hours…Yay. Can’t wait to see who the lucky winner is. Would be so grateful to win a spot and be able to learn from you next year. Everyone’s work looks so AMAZING. Much love xxx
Hello hello π if possible, I would like to win a spot in Life Book. It is a way for me to express thoughts and feelings and helps heal parts of me. Thank you for a chance to win! <3
I make art because it helps me in so many ways: to relieve stress; to express myself when words cannot; to try and make something beautiful; to make others smile; to be happy; to know I’ve done something good; above all, to continue challenging and stretching myself. Art is my purpose. I thank you for the opportunity.
Thank you for this wonderful opportunity! I make art to give expression to my inner feelings. I get into my own little ‘bubble’ and I can let go of any trouble or negativity <3
Thank you for the opportunity. I make art because I feel compelled to. When I donβt make art, itβs like thereβs a gaping hole in my life. Itβs also therapeutic. Art Provides a venue for me to figure out why Iβm feeling the way Iβm game.
i make art to express my self. As a single mom of two small children i rarely get time to myself.when i finally do get time to myself i find myself making art to relax and cope with everyday struggles

Dear Mou,

I make art as it helps to relieve my anxiety and sensory issues.
The Lifebook summit has been amazing so far and I can’t wait to see more from all these teachers in 2019.
Hi Mou, I have wanted to make art for a long time and I have recently taken the plunge, and I LOVE it! It brings me peace and calm, and I love playing with colours and my growing stash of art supplies. Thank you for the opportunity to win a free place in Life Book 2019.

thanks for the chance to win Art is my escape i can go in to my art room and choose a project and get lost for hours. which is one reason why i love life book 2018 there are so many wonderful projects to choose from and im looking forward to doing it again next year
I make art to maintain my link with the great Creator. This keeps me healthy both physically and spiritually.
Hi Mou, I first seen you when you started teaching on Creative Bug. So I was thrilled to see that Tam had chosen you as one of the Teachers for Life Book 2019. Enjoy it! I liked your interview with Tam for the summit as well and the quote you made! Love it!! Gonna use that often. Anyway the reason I make art is to retain my wellbeing. I discovered the benefits of art when I was off work for 2 years with severe anxiety, severe sleep disorder and deep depression. It literally saved my life. It became the lifeline I held on to everyday to keep my head above water. So now I can say I need to make art as much as I need to eat everyday or breathe. Thanks for asking! Take care.
Hi, I would love to win a spot in Life Book 2019! I love your work and love your creative bug videos!!! Art helps me through some hard and dark times. It helps me to focus and be more calmed and relaxed.
Hi MouSaha,
I loved watching you with Tam. You are very inspiring. I make Art because I cannot breath without art. I began painting at around age 3, and I have not stopped! I am an educator and incorporate it into every subject area with my 4th Graders. It is like having to have water and food. I cannot live without ART!
I would love to win a spot inLB 2019 as there is an unbelievably talented array of artists to learn from. This is my main way if connecting to art, and it would be wonderful. Thank you!
Hello! I make art to stay sane and to heal. Thank you so much for this opportunity <3
It would be amazing to participate in Life Book 2019… thanks for this opportunity!
Hi Mou, thank you for the mixed media tag book lesson on the summit, I would never have thought to use tags in my journals, such a clever idea. I haven’t been making art for very long, but it is great therapy and food for the soul. If I won a place on Lifebook 2019, it would be fabulous.
Hi Mou, I really enjoyed your interview and look forward to using your collage paper printout in my MM tag book. Like you I have survived cancer, Art was a lifesaver for me, giving my a way to work through things and giving me something productive to do. Thank you for sharing your story.
Hi Mou, thank you so much for the inspiring video an free gift from the Life Book Summit. I so much enjoying this summit and I realized how much I missed to be creative. I’m going through some rough times since longer now. To win this spot would be so much healing for me as I’m connected with many inspiring like minded people and I could learn so many techniques. Thanks so much for giving me the opportunity to win a spot. π
Thank you for the opportunity. It is greatly appreciated. I would love to win a space for Life Book 2019 so the magic from this year may continue. I have learnt so much from all the amazing artists such as yourself included. This would mean the world to me as things at home has not been so great for a while. Art is my way of coping with all the stress. I am crossing fingers and toes. Thank you again. Much Love from South Africa xxx
I would love to win a spot in Lifebook 2019. I am currently on sabbatical from my job as an elementary school art teacher. My intention was to concentrate on my own art however I am floundering. Lifebook may just be enough structure to keep me focused. My excuse used to be that I didn’t have enough time, now I have the time but continue to sabotage myself. Thanks so much for the chance.
Hi, Mou! I love your work. This summit has been amazing in so many ways. It has already taught me that I am an “artist” regardless of skill level. But now I want to LEARN. I am hungry for it. I hope to win a spot on LF2019. Whoever wins will no doubt be blessed. Thanks for the opportunity! π
I would love to take part in the 2019 Lifebook, making art is a way for me to manage my arthritis and fibromyalgia pains, it takes my mind away from pain and nausea, at least partly. This summit is a great way to see what new things I can try, so much fun.
I want to win that spot… Art relaxes me and helps me escape daily stress and worries … Thanks for this opportunity !!
Winning a spot would be great. Making art is a life long passion. It has saved my life and sanity more than once. And being part of the art community has helped me to meet some of the most incredible people. thanks as always for sharing.
I would love to win a spot! Creating art is a nice outlet for me. If I don’t create I feel stagnant. Very nice way to be less stressful. Thank you for this opportunity.
Thank you for offering a free spot in Life Book 2019. I create art because it makes me happy, de-stresses my many stressors and I love color.
I make art because I need a way to express myself. I am not the greatest at words so art is my outlet.I also make art because I need to always be making things or else I do not feel profitable.
So wonderful of you to offer this class to someone.I would love to win! Thank you for the opportunity.
Kate
I make art to escape from everyday stress–it is the therapy I seek for all that ails me. The freedom of expression and challenge of learning new techniques is really good medicine. Thank you for a chance to participate…
Hi!! Iβd love to win a spot in Life book 2019!!! because the best teachers are in there and I need to learn new ways to express myself. The lettering and drawing on these pages is wonderful along with the delicious watery colors. Learning a new approach in your workshop series would be so rewarding, thank you for the chance to win a spot!
My creative plans this summer always include lots of studio time because I live in the desert southwest of the US and it’s too hot to do anything else.
Sounds like a great plan π I live in the COLD North East and summer is when we are outdoors even though its hot and sticky π
I’m doing the portrait drawing class at CreativeBug and continuing to explore art journaling. I’m also cleaning up my studio, which doesn’t sound creative, but I cannot continue to create in the mess that I have, so hopefully I’ll be even more creative once it is all done!
OMG,I totally relate, Suzanne! The mess I have here! It’s all good stuff but all over the place making it hard to find things. I’m hoping to wake up earlier than the kids for a few days and just tackle it bit by bit till its at least workable again.
It’s summer all year round where I am but I’d love to start incorporating some journaling into my paintings/ doodles/ splashes of colour on pieces of paper! I’ve been feeling quite stifled and unable to express myself and I’d like to be able to do so through my art practice. π
I hear you, Vanessa. I hope you recover your creative voice very soon!
oh, but your sneak peek is such a serious tease!!! Love what I’m seeing. My summer plans include lots of outdoor exercise in the mornings, lots of crafting in the afternoons and family time whenever I can get it. Thanks for this chance – my fingers are Xed.
Thanks Maureen! It’s great that you are fitting exercise into your summer routine. I feel so lazy and sluggish particularly during the summer months.Good luck π
I hope to get outside to paint in watercolor.
Ooh that sounds nice, Susie!
I LOVE how you used the Tea Time die – I have NEVER seen it painted like fine china…so clever Mou.
so creative!! love this Mou!
Love this Mo. I have watched some of what you are doing on Creativebug and I hope to try your 30 day journaling class soon. Your creativity is inspiring.
Thanks Ginny π Iβm glad you are watching my Creativebug Challenge and enjoying it!
Oh Gosh I love this! You’re so amazing Mou, I miss you!
I miss you too, Jane! Hope all’s well on your end.
Mou, I’m so delighted that you joined us for Trail Makers and so moved by this sharing of your return to what was always there – your creative heart. Thank you for sharing your experience and your light! ((bighugs))
Thanks Jamie π
Mou once again made a wonderful coloring book. The calm nature of the subjects is always relaxing and makes me smile! I LOVE the “Tomatoes” page and am framing it for my kitchen!
Hello Christine! Welcome to my blog! I’m so glad you are here. And i hope you enjoy the class π
I found your website and you on IG because I saw your class on Creativebug. I am very excited to start taking it soon. I loved reading your About page and find it very inspiring. I am a clinical social worker and mom who loves being creative. I am looking forward to exploring your website more.

Hi, Mou. How awesome for you to be featured in Somerset. I don’t really have a favorite because they all are! Best of luck in your artistic endeavors!
Nice! I like to add stitched elements. Thanks for the chance to win.
Hey Mandi! I love stitched elements too! Now, you’ve inspired me to use more on mine. Thanks!
Congrats Mou! I love mixed media and wanna learn more. Thanks for a chance to win.
Hi Isha! Thanks π
Mixed media rocks!
Yes, it does π
Congratulations Mou on the feature! So exciting! I love to make any form of mixed media… be it an ATC, card, art journal page or scrapbooking. Thanks
Hi Cassandra! Oh I have seen and now I a proud owner of one of YOUR PRETTY ATCs! Thank you π
Hi Mou! Congratulations on being featured in one of the Summerset magazines! They are amazing and fillled with such fabulous creative artists like you!
I play with any medium I can find, scrapbooking being one of my favourites as I can use mixed media, sewing, stamping, painting, and even beading and other techniques in my scrapbooks and they don’t take up the whole house! It does require some restraint in thickness but that’s part of the challenge. Right now I’m making cards for a friend’s charity. I’ve been doing some with mixed media. Due to your encouragement!
I’m so happy to hear you are making those mixed media cards, Bunny! I know what you mean about the bulk… I see cool pages but they are so very dimensional that I wonder how to keep them in a conventional scrapbook.
Congratulations Mou on your feature! I’m still making mixed media projects and ATCs but lately I’ve been drawing more.
Janice, I never really got into ATCs myself but I have seen some beautiful ones made by talented souls! These days, I’m drawing more than before too.
Hi Mou!I was reading about your holiday cruise and thinking how your life is the opposite of mine. I understood completely your comment about leaving Cape Canaveral was liking leaving home again. For me it’s when I see the NYC skyline since I grew up in NJ and moved to Florida. We miss you in Florida and I hope you are out from under the snow!Your fiery friend
Hi, thanks for this giveaway :0) I’m in mixed media art journaling, I like how every single page is different, new style and new techniques :0) Have a nice day :0)
Hi Romana! Mixed Media art journaling is my favorite tooπ
Congratulations! This is so exciting! And thanks for the chance to win a copy. I love working on collages with vintage paper. My latest obsession is using vintage wallpaper in my collages (there are so many beautiful patterns!).
Hi Molly! How cool! If you have a little time, will you please share where you source your vintage wallpapers from? Thanks!
I love your art and the magazine! I love Mixed Media art canvas and Bible Journaling.
Thanks for entering Beth! I love Mixed Media art canvases too!!!
How fun!
Janice, I hear you. I’m so glad our paths crossed in our opposite journeys!
